Name
:
Angela Monger-Gonzalez
Where did you grow up: I am a local girl from Fort Worth.
What is your favorite part of being an instructor: I enjoy having a positive healthy impact in people's lives and seeing progress is so rewarding. Every time I see someone accomplish something on the megaformer or at the barre they couldn’t do the month before makes me proud to know I had a hand in helping them reach that goal.
What is your favorite move? Giant reverse kneeling trunk curl definitely pushes the abs to exhaustion.
What three things can’t you live without? 1. Blue jeans  2.Scented candles  3.Flip-flops
How long have you been in the fitness industry?/Where did you get your start? I’ve been in the industry for over 20 years, teaching many different fitness formats - yoga, pilates, strength, aqua, barre and dance. I worked for Norwegian Cruise Line as their Sports Afloat fitness Director and was fortunate to travel many places - Alaska, Central & South America, as well as the Mediterranean & Caribbean Islands.
Favorite post-workout snack: Blueberry & banana protein smoothie with a shot of acai
Biggest pet peeve: Texting & driving
Dream vacation spot: Any beach in Mexico
Favorite thing to do when you’re not teaching: Spending time with my family and pets(4 cats and 2 dogs)- also watching my daughter cheer at football games.
Three words to describe you: Sincere, Quiet(until you get to know me), Dependable
Unusual child memory: I once drank some chocolate milk and then put the glass on my foot after hearing the Cinderella story thinking it could be my “glass slipper" the glass broke and I needed 30 stitches
Personal fitness secret: I try not to eat after 7 pm so I feel “lean” and hungry the next morning ready to start the day
