Trainer Spotlight: Meet Sarah

Where did you grow up: Dallas, Texas
What is your favorite part of being an instructor:  I love motivating and supporting our Studio 6 clients, whatever their fitness level may be. I truly believe mental toughness and grit far exceeds any physical demands.    
Why do you love the Megaformer? I love how this machine can totally transform a client's overall strength and body shape (core, legs, arms)! More importantly, it allows for differentiation. Going 2 counts slower, moving your foot further back, dropping to your forearms, adding a pushup, or an isometric hold can intensify a move tremendously.   
What is your favorite move? Let’s just say that I get a little excited when the instructor calls out Bear (core stabilizer), Corkscrew (obliques), 5th lunge (legs), and Lat Pull (arms). 
What three things can’t you live without: 1) My supportive family  2) Starbucks  3) My Planner 
How long have you been in the fitness industry/Where did you get your start: I became Lagree Certified exactly 3 years ago (in 2014). I was a client at Studio 6 for 2 years before coming an instructor. So glad I pursued the opportunity. 
Favorite post-workout snack: I love anything with peanut butter! 
Biggest pet peeve: Inefficiency- “Ain’t nobody got time for that!"
Dream vacation spot: Italy
Favorite thing to do when you’re not teaching: I am an Educational Consultant/ Literacy Coach for surrounding school districts in the Metroplex. Continuing to immerse myself in the world of public education brings me abundant joy and humility. 
Three words to describe you: loyal, disciplined, and sarcastic 
Unusual child memory:  Being stuck in an elevator hotel alone.  
Personal fitness secret: I find early morning workout sessions to be the best! To me there is nothing more refreshing and/or satisfying than getting a 5-mile run, spin class, or Pilates class all done before 7 am!
